Sony has added two new devices to its Xperia line-up, the mid-range phablet Xperia T2 Ultra and the entry-level Xperia E1.
Sony Xperia T2 Ultra
The Xperia T2 Ultra is a mid-range phablet, it has a 6" TFT display with 720 x 1280 HD resolution. Surprisingly Sony has decided to offer the Xperia T2 Ultra with Triluminos and Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 2 tech inside the display.
The Xperia T2 Ultra is powered by 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8928 processor with 1 GB of RAM. It has 4 GB internal storage with microSD card slot up to 32 GB.
At the back it has a 13 MP camera with LED flash, while at the front it has a 1.1 MP front-facing shooter. the phablet is capable for 1080p video recording and it has the same Smart Social camera as found on Android 4.3 Xperia device.
The phablet is running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with latest Xperia UI and it has a 3,000 mAh battery for juicing up the device.
The Xperia T2 Ultra will come in black, white and purple colours and it has a dual-SIM variant too. Sony Mobile Malaysia has listed dual-SIM variant Xperia T2 Ultra to the official website so you can expect to see it soon.
Sony Xperia E1
The Sony Xperia E1 is the successor of the Xperia E, it has a bigger 4" display with WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution, faster 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8210 processor and promised better speaker.
Sony claims that the loudspeaker is capable of hitting 100 dB, which is pretty loud enough. Sony didn't upgrade the resolution of the Xperia E1 but the 3 MP camera is now able to record 720p HD videos.
The Xperia E1 has 4 GB internal storage with microSD card slot. With 512 MB RAM, we're not sure whether will it run smooth on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean but if Sony provides Android KitKat update for it then it should be no problem.
Just like the Xperia T2 Ultra, it has also dual-SIM variant and will come with black and white colours while the purple is only exclusive for single-SIM variant.
