Huawei Ascend P6 will be getting Android 4.4 KitKat update on January 2014

While other manufacturers are busy in developing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, Huawei has just official announced that the Ascend P6 will skip the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update and straight away move to Android 4.4 KitKat update.

No word on other Huawei device to receive Android KitKat update, guess we might need to wait for a long time to know it.

Android 4.4 KitKat brings Project Svelte UI optimizations, bigger UI icons, removes the widgets from the app drawer, new Hangouts SMS/MMS/Gtalks unified hub, new Email app, new Phone app with nearby search and more. It even lowers the hardware requirements for the Android OS.

So the Ascend P6 will enjoy all these features on January 2014. Stay tuned for more firmware news of Huawei.
