HTC One series will get Android 4.4.2 KitKat update sometime around next month

It seems that HTC is already working on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the One series. According to @LiabTooFeR, the HTC One, One Max and One mini will be getting the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update around February, which is next month.

If the news is true, it means that HTC One series users will no longer waiting for the Android 4.4 KitKat update.


The update is expect to bring Sense 6 UI with some improvements and bug fixes. Meanwhile, we expect that the update will roll out once the HTC M8 is official, so users might need to wait until end of February only see the update.

So far there's no news on other HTC devices such as the Butterfly S or even the One X for updating to Android 4.4 KitKat, but you can still give a hope on HTC One X as Android 4.4 KitKat is now able to run smooth even on 512 MB RAM phone. Looks like HTC will be the manufacturer pushing the KitKat update to its products after Motorola.
