The HTC Desire 616 is said to be the company first device with octa-core processor. Today, the device has leaked in a few photos showing the device dressed in red.
The device looks a little bit HTC Butterfly, it is expected to sport a 5" 720p display and a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor with 1 GB of RAM.
The HTC Desire 616 will have an 8 MP shooter at the back with LED flash. Based on the first photo, we can confirm that the HTC Desire 616 will feature on-screen Android buttons just like other latest HTC devices. It seems that HTC has decided to give up the capacitive buttons and move to on-screen buttons.
The phone measures 142 x 71.9 x 9.1 mm and weighs 150 g. However, the Desire 616 will not having HTC front-facing BoomSound speakers. The device is expected to hit Chinese market first and global version could be available as well later on.
The HTC Desire 616 seems to be a competitive mid-ranger but the device is running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, which is quite dissappointing.
