Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi 4 sports the same 5" 1080p Sharp / JDI OGS full lamination display with One Glass Solution. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with quad-core 2.5 GHz CPU and Adreno 330 GPU.
The Mi 3 packs 3 GB LP-DDR3 RAM and comes with 16/64 GB eMMC 5.0 internal storage. With the latest eMMC 5.0, the read speed has increased by 100% and the write speed has increased by 50%.
The Mi 4 has the same 13 MP camera at the back but the front-facing camera has upgraded to 8 MP with Sony stacked CMOS sensor. Juicing up the device is a 3,080 mAh battery and it is non-removable.
The device has stainless steel frame around the sides but the back is made out of plastic with different finishes, such as wood, bamboo, marble, fabric, leather, etc - something like Moto Maker first introduced on Moto X.
Software wise, it is running on MIUI V6 based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which will debut on August 16th.
The Xiaomi Mi 4 will be available in black and white color options and is priced at approximately RM 1,099 for 16 GB model and RM 1,299 for 64 GB model.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has also announced the Mi Band, a fitness tracking wrist band that monitors your fitness and tracks your sleep. Featuring the industry's most power-efficient Bluetooth chip and accelerometer, the Mi Band can last for 30 days with just one charge.
Mi Band also doubles as a smart alarm. You can even pair it to unlock your phone without a password. And, guess what? The Mi Band is only priced at RMB 79 approximately RM 49, which is extremely cheap.
