YotaPhone lands in Malaysia for RM 1,699

Curved screen is an innovative idea for a smartphone. How about dual-screen? Yota Devices, a Russian company today has officially landed in Malaysian market and selling its dual-screen device - YotaPhone, for RM 1,699.


The front has a regular 4.3" 720p HD display, while the back of the device has a 4.3" e-ink display. The 4.3" e-ink display basically uses no power at all unless the screen is being refreshed, and it has a better visibility under outdoor sunlight.

The YotaPhone that launched in Malaysian market today is the first generation instead of second, though it's old but fortunately Yota Devices have switch the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.7 GHz dual-core CPU.

The device features 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage. Other specs are 13 MP camera, 1 MP front, 1,800 mAh battery, LTE and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

The YotaPhone is now available in Malaysia for RM 1,699 with black and white colors. As a special launch day promotion, Global Line is offering two different bundles. Package A allows you to purchase the phone at the retail price of RM 1,699, and you will receive Bali travel voucher worth RM 699 for free. While Package B offers the device for only RM 1,399. However, the promotion is only valid until today, 10th October.
