There are 2 variants available, the standard version with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage is priced at RM 1,799, while the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage version is priced at RM 1,999.
The Ascend Mate7 has a 6" Full HD IPS Neo display and is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 925 octa-core processor. There's a 13 MP Sony BSI camera at the back and fingerprint sensor below the camera lens. The 5 MP front camera is in charge for selfie shoots.
Juicing up the device is a massive 4,100 mAh battery and it supports LTE Cat 6 connectivity. It is running on Android 4.4 KitKat with EMUI out of the box.
Color wise, the standard Ascend Mate 7 will be available in either Moonlight Silver or Obsidian Black, while the Premium unit is only available in Amber Gold. Huawei is offering one year one-on-one swap policy for Ascend Mate 7 owners. As an added bonus, they are also giving a free smart cover worth RM 128.
The Ascend G7 however is a mid-range 4G LTE device. Pricing at RM 999, the Ascend G7 packs a 5.5" HD display and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 2 GB of RAM. The specs are quite identical to the Ascend Mate7 - 16 GB internal storage, 13 MP camera, 5 MP front and Android 4.4 KitKat with EMUI 3.0.
The Huawei Ascend Mate7 will be available from tomorrow (14th November) onwards, while the Ascend G7 will be available by end of December.
