Asus announced 7" MeMo Pad tablet running Android 4.1

Asus has announced a new 7" low cost tablet, the Asus MeMo Pad. It will be going on sale in the U.S for only $149 (convert to RM is around RM 600 only) for the base model.



The MeMo Pad has a 7" 1024 x 600 resolution display that running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8/16 GB internal storage with expandable memory, VIA WM8950 SoC with 1 GHz Cortex A9 CPU and Mali-400 GPU, 1 GB of RAM.


The MeMo Pad is almost similar to the Nexus 7, it doesn't have rear camera but with 1 MP f/2.0 front-facing camera. The battery is same to the one on the Nexus 7, so expect similar or slightly better life, since the specs are lower, it report that the maximum of the battery life are 7 hours.

We not sure that whether this tablet will arrive Malaysia or not, if it available for Malaysia we believe that it will only available for 16 GB and expect price for RM 699.
