Sony Xperia Z and ZL available at 15th March, Xperia Tablet Z coming Q2

It's finally here! The Sony Xperia Z and ZL will be available at 15th March but both devices were officially launched in Malaysia with price of RM 2,199 and RM 1,899 today. For the Xperia Tablet Z, Sony has announced that it will be arrive Q2 but with no price information.



Xperia Z

The Xperia Z which priced at RM 2,199 (RM 100 cheaper than HTC Butterfly and One) runs on 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It has a 5" LED-backlit 1080p Full HD display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 at 443ppi pixel density (The highest pixel density in smartphones). It also has a 13MP Exmor RS camera sensor that offer 1080p Full HD video recording. The camera offer some cool features such as burst mode, sweep panorama, face and smile detection, HDR mode for both pictures and film which is the first mobile to do that and more. It also has a 2.2MP front camera that capable for 1080p Full HD video too.

The Xperia Z is a IP57-certified for dust and water resistance. It's offer a 7.9mm slim unibody design and has a non-removable 2330mAh battery, Sony promises that 4 times increases of battery life on Xperia Z and ZL.

Xperia Z has LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and FM Radio connectivity. It has a 16GB internal memory and support microSD card up to 32GB. It's running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and expect it upgradeable to version 4.2 soon. The User Interface of it has changed and improved a lot, it works very smooth with the quad-core power and Project Butter.



Xperia ZL

The Xperia ZL are priced at RM 1,899 that really worth to purchase it. It was pretty similar to the Xperia Z, it just offer different design and lack of IP57-certified for dust and water resistance. The Xperia ZL has a 2mp front camera at the bottom of phone just like the Nokia N9 and it support 720p HD front video shooter. It has a thicker body design and has a tad smaller footprint.

The rest of the specs are similar to the Xperia Z such as 5" 1080p Full HD display, 13MP camera, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, etc. The Xperia ZL also has a 16GB internal memory and support microSD card up to 64GB. The Xperia ZL also running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean just like Xperia Z.
