[MWC 2015] Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia M4 Aqua are official

Sony today has uncovered the Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia M4 Aqua. A tablet with high resolution display and a waterproof smartphone which looks like the flagship.

The Xperia Z4 Tablet has a huge improvement over its predecessor. Sony has finally decided to put a 2K resolution on its 10.1" display. Powering the tablet is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor with 3 GB of RAM.

The slate features an 8 MP rear camera and the front-facing camera is a 5 MP shooter. It is extremely slim at just 6.1 mm and weighs less than 393 g (389 g Wi-Fi/393 g LTE).

The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Xperia UI. Sony has also announced the lightweight BKB50 Bluetooth Keyboard featuring a dedicated slot for Xperia Z4 Tablet and docking detection.

Sony Xperia E4 goes official with improved specs

Sony has just officially announced the brand new Xperia E4, the successor of Xperia E3 and the company's latest entry-level smartphone.


The Xperia E4 has a 5" qHD (540 x 960 pixels) display covered by a scratch-resistant glass. The smartphone is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. The 8 GB internal storage can be expanded via Micro SD card up to 32 GB.

Sony DSC-KW11 available for pre-order at RM 3,299

Sony has announced a perfume bottle-like selfie camera last year. Well, the DSC-KW11 is built for those who love to take selfie. It is now available for pre-order in Malaysia at RM 3,299.


The KW11 features a 3.3" OLED touch display with 1,299k dots. It has a 21 MP Sony Exmor RS CMOS sensor. The device has f/2.0 aperture and 180-degree swivel lens, which allows users to capture "beautifully detailed images".

The KW11 is able to record 1080p video at 30 fps and it comes with 2x optical zoom too. Unlike those flagship smartphones, the KW11 features EIS without GYRO instead of OIS.

The pre-order for the KW11 is valid until 29th of January. It is not cheap at the price of RM 3,299 though. Sony will offer exclusive pre-order gifts including 8 GB Micro SD card, trendy case and rechargeable battery. You can head over here to pre-order it now.

Sony SmartBand Talk will be available in Malaysia tomorrow

If you owned a Xperia device and you love fitness, here's an accessory you might interested. Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact goes on sale tomorrow

The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact was available for pre-order since last week. The tablet will be available from 7th November (Friday) with the pricing of RM 1,699 for LTE 16 GB version.


For those who pre-ordered it previously, you can choose to get either a docking station DK39 worth RM 209 or noise cancelling headphone MDR-NC31EM worth RM 229. You can also add on RM 50 for a Bluetooth keyboard or RM 500 for a QX10 with tablet mount.

The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact LTE comes in black and white colors. While the Wi-Fi 32 GB in white will be available by next month.

The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact was announced alongside with Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact. It seems that you don't have to wait for the tablet anymore as Sony has opened pre-order for the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.


The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is priced at RM 1,699 for LTE version, so far there's no word on the Wi-Fi only version. The pre-order period is between 29th October to 2nd November. Sony Xperia M2 Aqua arrives Malaysia

Sony Malaysia currently having a Deepavali promotion, not only the Xperia E3, the Xperia M2 Aqua is also included in this promotion with the retail price of RM 999.


The Xperia M2 Aqua was announced before IFA 2014, it is actually the waterproof version of the regular Xperia M2. The smartphone comes with IP68 dust and water resistance certification, which is the highest IP rating found on a smartphone.

Sony Xperia E3 with 4G LTE is priced at RM 659

The Sony Xperia E3 was announced alongside with its flagship brothers Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact at IFA 2014. Both Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact are now available in Malaysia for RM 2,399 and RM 1,899 respectively, while the Xperia E3 is on its way to Malaysia with the retail price of RM 659.


The Xperia E3 is the company cheapest 4G LTE smartphone with a 4.5" 480 x 854 pixels display and 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM. It has a 5 MP camera at the back, 1.3 MP front and 4 GB expandable storage.

The device is running on Android 4.4 KitKat and juicing up it is a 2,330 mAh battery. Black and white will be available in Malaysia first while the rest of the colors are expected to arrive in later date.

Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact will be available in Malaysia on 26th September

The Sony Xperia Z3 is now available for pre-order with the price tag of RM 2,259 (RRP: RM 2,399) at Storekini. However, it seems that the pre-order will no longer available as Sony Mobile Malaysia will be bringing the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact to Malaysian market tomorrow (26th September).


The Xperia Z3 official pricing is at RM 2,399 while the Xperia Z3 Compact is priced at RM 1,899. Sony Mobile Malaysia has offered a number of freebies for each purchase of Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact:

Sony will be bringing a few devices to Malaysia starting from next month

Yesterday, Sony Mobile has held a regional event in Singapore and has announced that they will be bringing the devices that announced at IFA 2014 to Malaysia starting from next month.


The Xperia Z3 is the latest flagship device from Sony, it is almost same as Xperia Z2 though. It is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 processor with 3 GB of RAM.

It has a 5.2" IPS LCD display with 1080p resolution (no 2K). The display has improved which is able to reach 600 nits brightness.

Sony Xperia C3 now available in Malaysia for RM 999

Last month, Sony has unveiled the company's first ever selfie phone - Xperia C3. The Sony Xperia C3 is now available in Malaysia.

Sony has announced a bunch of devices at IFA this year. These are included Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia E3 and the Android Wear powered SmartWatch 3.

The Xperia Z3 is the latest flagship device from Sony, it is almost same as Xperia Z2 though. It is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 processor with 3 GB of RAM.

The camera is the same 20.7 MP unit with OIS and 4K video recordings. The device is 1 mm slimmer and 11 g lighter than its predecessor.

Sony Xperia Z3 leaks in Copper

The Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to announce in just less than 24 hours and the device has leaked in a few live photos, showing it with new color option - Copper.


As you can see, the Xperia Z3 will come with Copper, which is another new color option. The rest of the colors are black, white and green. It seems that Sony has dropped the purple color option.

The Xperia M2 Aqua is identical to the regular Xperia M2, it sports the same 4.8" qHD display with the pixel density of 233 ppi and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM. The battery capacity is 2,330 mAh, which is similar to the two year-old Xperia Z.

Sony rolls out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Dual

After the Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual, Sony has begun to roll out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Dual.


Just like other Xperia devices, the Android 4.4.2 update comes with new status bar and quick settings. Sony has also updated the interface, which inspired by PlayStation 4. Users can also move the applications from internal memory to microSD card.

In addition, Sony's entire native apps such as Messaging, Smart Connect, TrackID, What’s New, Battery Stamina Mode, Walkman, Album and Movies, have also updated to the latest version. Users can also download different Xperia themes from Sony Select. Last but not least, the Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Dual will be compatible with SmartBand SWR10 and Lifelog app.

Sony Xperia T3 now available in Malaysia

If you are looking for a phablet, here's a new option for you. The Sony Xperia T3 is now available in Malaysia with slightly higher price than the Xperia T2 Ultra.


The Xperia T3 has a 5.3" Triluminos display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, which is slightly smaller than the Xperia T2 Ultra. It is powered by a faster 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM. With the new Snapdragon 400 SoC, the Xperia T3 supports 4G LTE connectivity too.

The device has an 8 MP shooter at the back, which is slightly downgraded from Xperia T2 Ultra. Juicing up the device is a 2,500 mAh battery with 688 hours standby time and 12 hours 46 minutes talk time rated.

The Sony Xperia T3 is now available in Malaysia for RM 1,399 with black, white and purple color options. You can get it from all Sony store nationwide or here. Meanwhile, the Xperia M2 single-SIM 3G variant is also now available in Malaysia for RM 799.
