The Xperia M2 Aqua was announced before IFA 2014, it is actually the waterproof version of the regular Xperia M2. The smartphone comes with IP68 dust and water resistance certification, which is the highest IP rating found on a smartphone.
The Xperia M2 Aqua sports the same 4.8" qHD display with the pixel density of 233 ppi and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM. The battery capacity is 2,330 mAh, which is similar to the two year-old Xperia Z.
The 8 MP camera is capable for 1080p video recording, and it has a camera button, which means you can capture photos or videos underwater easily.
