Sony has announced a bunch of devices at IFA this year. These are included Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia E3 and the Android Wear powered SmartWatch 3.
Sony Xperia Z3
The Xperia Z3 is the latest flagship device from Sony, it is almost same as Xperia Z2 though. It is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 processor with 3 GB of RAM.
It has a 5.2" IPS LCD display with 1080p resolution (no 2K). The display has improved which is able to reach 600 nits brightness.
The camera is the same 20.7 MP unit with OIS and 4K video recordings. The device is 1 mm slimmer and 11 g lighter than its predecessor.
The Sony Xperia Z3 is running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Xperia UI. It will be available in white, black, silver-green and copper.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
The Xperia Z3 Compact is almost same as the Xperia Z3 but with smaller size and slightly downgraded specifications.
It has a smaller 4.6" display with 720p resolution and the RAM is 2 GB. The 2,600 mAh battery is another step down from the 3,100 mAh unit on the Xperia Z3.
The rest of the specs are same - Snapdragon 801 processor, 20.7 MP camera and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
The Xperia Z3 Compact will be available in orange, white, green and black colors.
Sony Xperia E3
The Sony Xperia E3 is the company's cheapest 4G LTE device. It has a 4.5" 480 x 854 pixels display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM.
The Xperia E3 looks a lot like Xperia M. It has a 5 MP camera at the back, 1.3 MP front and 4 GB expandable storage.
The device is running on Android 4.4 KitKat and juicing up it is a 2,330 mAh battery. It will be available in white, lime, copper and black.
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is the company's latest small size tablet. Sony claims that it is the lightest waterproof compact tablet in the world.
The slate has a 8" 1,920 x 1,200 pixels display with the pixel density of 283 ppi. It is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3 GB of RAM.
It has 16 GB expandable storage and 4,500 mAh battery. There's an 8.1 MP camera at the back and 2.2 MP at the front. It also features IP65/68 dust and water protection too.
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is just at 6.4 mm thin and 270 g. It will be available in black and white.
Sony SmartWatch 3
Besides tablet and smartphones, Sony has also announced its first ever smart wearable device powered by Android Wear.
The SmartWatch 3 has a 1.6" Transflective display with 320 x 320 pixels and is powered by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 512 MB of RAM.
The internal storage is 4 GB and it has a 420 mAh battery. It is also IP68 rated with dust and water resistance.
The SmartWatch 3 is optimised for devices running on Android 4.3 and later. It will be available in black and yellow colors with different wrist straps.
