Samsung introduces Galaxy Ace 3

Just before the Apple WWDC 2013, Samsung has announced the next generation of their Ace devices - Galaxy Ace 3. The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 is a Galaxy S4-inspired design smartphone and it follows the spirit of past Galaxy Ace devices.



The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core CPU of unknown chipset with 1 GB of RAM. It has a 4 GB internal memory but with expandable memory up to 64 GB microSD card. The Galaxy Ace 3 sports a 4" WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) TFT LCD display. At the back there's a 5 MP camera which is capable for 720p video recording. There's also a VGA front-facing camera for video chatting.

The Galaxy Ace 3 is measures at 121.2 x 62.7 x 9.8 mm and weighs 115 g with a 1,500 mAh battery included. The phone also support 720p video playback. It features Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (single-band), Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS connectivity. The Galaxy Ace 3 is available in dual-SIM and single-SIM variants.

Alongside the 3G version of Galaxy Ace 3, Samsung is also releasing the LTE variant for select market. The LTE version will have an upgraded internal storage to 8 GB from 4 GB. The processor is still dual-core CPU but clocked at 1.2 GHz.

The Galaxy Ace 3 LTE support 1080p video playback, we believed it is because different chipset design altogether, but there's no confirmation yet. The phone also offers 1,800 mAh battery to overcome LTE connectivity, making it slightly heavier at 119.5 g and thicker at 10 mm.

Unfortunately, no further information about the availability and pricing of it in Malaysia, we don't think it will be heading to Malaysia as the Galaxy Ace 2 are not available in Malaysia yet. We suspect more information will be provided at Samsung Premiere 2013 press event.
