Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be available in Malaysia from 17th April

Samsung Mobile Malaysia today has launched the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in Malaysia. Both latest flagship devices from Samsung will be available in Malaysia from 17th April onwards.


Both Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are actually same in terms of specifications. The main difference is the Galaxy S6 Edge comes with dual curved screen at the side of the device, whereas the regular Galaxy S6 has a flat screen covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Next is now, Samsung has unveiled the brand new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge earlier today at MWC 2015.

The Galaxy S6 features a brand new double-glass design which both are Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Just like the recent Samsung flagships, the Galaxy S6 has metal frame around the phone.

The phone sports a 5.1" QHD (2,560 x 1,440) Super AMOLED display and is powered by the company's latest 64-bit 14 nm Exynos processor with four 2.1 GHz cores plus four 1.5 GHz cores. It also comes with 3 GB LPDDR4 RAM, which enhances memory speed with lower power consumption.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge now available in Malaysia

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note Edge in Malaysia, which is the most expensive Galaxy smartphone ever.


Pricing at RM 2,999, the Galaxy Note Edge has a 5.6" QHD+ Super AMOLED display with the Edge screen at the right side. The phablet is powered by 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB expandable storage.

Only 100,000 units of Galaxy Note Edge will be selling in Malaysia

We all know that the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is the most expensive Samsung smartphone ever. It seems that Samsung not putting high expectation on the sales of Galaxy Note Edge, our insider has revealed that Samsung will be selling 100,000 units of Galaxy Note Edge only in Malaysia.


It's not surprising to hear that there will be limited units for the Galaxy Note Edge, as not everyone willing to buy the phablet with the price of RM 2,999.

The Galaxy Note Edge has a 5.6" QHD Super AMOLED display with the Edge screen at the right side. The phablet is powered by 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB expandable storage. It has the 16 MP rear camera and 3.7 MP front camera which features wide selfie.

With the limited units of Galaxy Note Edge available in the market, you can expect that there won't be any data plan for the Galaxy Note Edge. But who knows if Samsung cooperate with telcos to boost the sales of this premium price tag phablet?

Samsung holds Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event on 1st March

Samsung has sent out the press invites for the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event that will be held on 1st March. Just as usual, the Unpacked event is expected to unveil the company's latest flagship smartphone.


For this time, the new Galaxy S6 is likely to be the star of the show. However looking at the press invite above, it seems that the company will not only unveil one but two flagship smartphones. The press invite above teases a product with a distinctive curve in its design. It's possible to be the Galaxy S Edge.

The Galaxy S6 is rumored to pack a 5" QHD Super AMOLED display, Exynos 7420 processor, 3 GB of RAM and 20 MP rear camera. The phone will likely pack a metal frame, like the Galaxy Note 4.

As for the Galaxy S Edge, there's a possibility that the two sides of the screen will be curved. It is likely to pack the same specs as the Galaxy S6.

Samsung Galaxy A7 official price at RM 1,499

Samsung Malaysia today has announced the arrival of the Galaxy A7, which was showcased in Malaysia earlier this month.


The Galaxy A7 is the company's slimmest smartphone ever at just 6.3 mm. Just like its siblings, the device features the same metal unibody design. The display is slightly larger at 5.5" with Full HD resolution and Super AMOLED panel. Processor wise, Malaysia will be getting the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 version with four 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 cores and four 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 cores.

Samsung Galaxy J1 now official with Palm Selfie feature

Samsung has finally made the Galaxy J1 official, the device has listed on Samsung's Malaysia official website.


The Galaxy J1 has a 4.3" WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) TFT display and is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 512 MB RAM. It has 4 GB internal storage which can be expanded via Micro SD card up to 128 GB.

After showcasing at earlier Galaxy A series Malaysia launch last week, Samsung today has finally made the Galaxy A7 official. The Galaxy A7 is the slimmest Samsung smartphone at just 6.3 mm thin.


Just like its siblings, the Galaxy A7 features the same metal unibody design. The device sports a 5.5" HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by either a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor or 32-bit Exynos 5430 processor depending on which model you get.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 5.0 Lollipop update available in Malaysia

Android 5.0 Lollipop update has finally arrived to Samsung Galaxy S5 Malaysia users. However the update currently is not available through OTA, so you'll need to download it from your computer using Samsung Kies 3.0.


You'll need to make sure that your phone have 3 GB of free space and a full battery charge before you can proceed with the update. After updating to Android 5.0 Lollipop, the device available memory would be reduced by at least 950 MB.

There's no word on the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the rest of the Samsung devices, but you can expect the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note II to receive the update in coming weeks.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 4 in Malaysia, the next generation Galaxy Note will be available in Malaysia on 17th October (Friday).


Announced at IFA 2014, the Galaxy Note 4 is the company latest flagship phablet. It has a 5.7" QHD (2,540 x 1,440 pixels) Super AMOLED display, which reproduces clearer and more vivid images with deep contrast and better viewing angles. The screen is pretty responsive and the 2.5D glass provides better scrolling experience.
