Both Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are actually same in terms of specifications. The main difference is the Galaxy S6 Edge comes with dual curved screen at the side of the device, whereas the regular Galaxy S6 has a flat screen covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
We won't actually all talk about the specs of both devices, you can find out the specs here in our MWC 2015 coverage.
The Galaxy S6 looks nice in first sight, you don't find the same design element from its predecessor. No more plastic and removable back cover for the Galaxy S6 this time, what left are only the metal frame which used to build the aircraft and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 at the front and back.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Hands-on
I have to admit that the Galaxy S6 actually looks a bit like the iPhone 6, but it's for the bottom part of the phone. Despite having 5.1" QHD Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy S6 handling is pretty nice, thanks to the narrow bezel.
The Galaxy S6 Edge on the other hand, is slightly different to its non-edge brother. Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Note Edge last year, and they did some improvements over the Galaxy S6 Edge.
The Galaxy S6 Edge comes with additional feature thanks to the edge screens. Swiping from the right edge screen, you can add up to 5 contacts with different colors. And when you receive a phone call while the phone is facing down, the edge screen will display the color that represents your entire contact.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Hands-on
The Galaxy S6 Edge doesn't feel as good as the Galaxy S6, this is because with the edge screen at both sides of the phone, the metal frame becomes thinner. However with the edge screen, you'll feel like looking at the 3D screen, thanks to the nice animation for taking advantage on the edge screen.
The camera of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are same, both have 16 MP F1.9 aperture camera with OIS. One thing I don't like about both devices are the camera lenses are bumped up, higher chance for the camera lens to get scratched.
The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be available in Malaysia from 17th April onwards for RM 2,599 and RM 3,099 respectively. These prices have included GST and for now only 32 GB variant will be entering Malaysia. The pre-order starts tomorrow, consumers will get a free wireless charger once you pre-order any one of the devices. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge come with built-in wireless charging which supports both WPC and PMA certified wireless charging technology. Not to forget that both devices support fast charging with 10 minutes of charging time you'll get four hours battery life.
