HTC Desire 500 now available in Malaysia for RM 899

Yesterday we spotted HTC Desire 500 in Digital Mall, but sadly, we couldn't take a photo of it and ask for the pricing of it. But, according to LowYat.NET, HTC Malaysia has just announced the arrival of its new mid-range Android smartphone - HTC Desire 500, it is priced at RM 899.



The HTC Desire 500 was HTC latest mid-range smartphone and it was announced last month. The Desire 500 is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB of RAM. Surprisingly, although the Desire 500 is a mid-range smartphone, but it does runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5 UI on top. No information whether it will get Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update or not.


With Sense 5 UI, the Desire 500 features HTC BlinkFeed and Video Highlights. The Desire 500 has a 4.3" WVGA display, along with 8 MP rear camera that capable for 720p video recording, 1.6 MP front camera and 4 GB expandable memory.

Other features include Beats Audio enhancement (no HTC BoomSound - dual frontal stereo speakers) and 1,800 mAh battery. The Desire 500 is measures at 9.9 mm thick and weighs 123 g. The HTC Desire 500 is available immediately in Glacier Blue and Passion Red in all HTC retail outlets with a recommended price of RM 899.
