Nokia had Lumia Android phones in the work before selling to Microsoft

It seems that Nokia Android device not just a discussion, but it was a reality. According to The New York Times, a team within Nokia has Android up and running on Lumia handsets before the company was sold to Microsoft.


We're not surprise that Nokia would have been discussing an Android device internally, it could have meant that Nokia will no longer sticking on Windows Phone. The deal between Nokia and Windows Phone device was in place until the end of 2014, and the Finnish company would have been free to do whatever they wanted to do.
We're not sure how long ago did Nokia working on a Android smartphone, but we think that it was quite a long progress for Nokia. If Nokia really turns to Android, it means that Microsoft will be losing their biggest and the only ally for Windows phone device.
