Google Nexus 7 cellular now getting Android 4.4 KitKat update

After Google released the KitKat update to the Nexus 4, the Nexus 7 LTE finally received the Android 4.4 KitKat update. Both 2012 and 2013 edition should get the update soon.

The update does bring some improvements such as smoother UI thanks to Project Svelte, better RAM management and more.


There is also a new Phone app with local search capabilities plus a brand new Google Photos gallery ready to make your photos more awesome automatically.
