Sony announces Android 4.3/4.4 update plans

Google has announced the Android 4.4 KitKat last week and HTC has already announced the One will be getting Android KitKat update within 90 days. Just as promised, Sony has announced the Android 4.3 and Android 4.4 update plans.



So, the following Xperia devices that are able to update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean are:

• Sony Xperia Z1
• Sony Xperia Z Ultra
• Sony Xperia Z
• Sony Xperia ZL
• Sony Xperia ZR
• Sony Xperia Tablet Z
• Sony Xperia SP
• Sony Xperia T
• Sony Xperia TX
• Sony Xperia V

The Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will skip the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update and jump to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Sony will roll out the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update starting from next month.

And here's the most excited Android 4.4 KitKat update plan list:

• Sony Xperia Z1
• Sony Xperia Z Ultra
• Sony Xperia Z
• Sony Xperia ZL
• Sony Xperia Tablet Z

Again the Xperia Z series devices (except Xperia ZR) are able to update to Android 4.4 KitKat while the Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will be stuck at Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Most of the 2012's Xperia devices won't receive Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and further more but you can still expect that it will be getting Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.
