[Update] Sony Xperia Z1 spotted in red, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat

The Sony Xperia Z1 is currently available in black, white and purple. However the red version of the Xperia Z1 was spotted and the handset is running on Android 4.4 KitKat.



No word on the release date of the red Xperia Z1 but assume that it will go official alongside with the Xperia Z1s.




From the photo above you can see that the handset runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which is even newer than the Nexus 5. It seems that Google might release the Android 4.4.2 update for bug fixes and improvement.

Sony will roll out the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to its selected Xperia devices starting from next month, while the KitKat update may arrive on next year.
