Huawei announces Ascend Mate 2 4G

Before Sony, Huawei has announced the second generation of Ascend Mate. As the naming suggested, the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G is also a LTE phablet.



The new Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G has the same 6.1" display with the same 720p HD resolution as its predecessor.

Here's the specs of the phablet:

• 6.1" 720p IPS+ LCD display at 241 ppi pixel density
• 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 306 GPU and 2 GB of RAM
• 16 GB internal storage with microSD card slot up to 64 GB
• 13 MP camera with f/2.0, 28 mm lens and Sony sensor
• 1080p@30fps video recording
• 5 MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 and 1.4µm sensor
• 4G LTE
• 4,050 mAh battery
• Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 2.0
• 9.5 mm slim, 202 g

The second generation Ascend Mate is finally using Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor unlike its predecessor, which using the Huawei K3V2 processor.
