Sony Xperia Z1 Compact goes official, a mini version of Xperia Z1

CES 2014 has started and Sony is the first manufacturer to announce their latest smartphone - the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is also known as Xperia Z1 mini, which is the international version of Xperia Z1 f.

Unlike other "mini" device, the Xperia Z1 Compact has all same specs as its bigger brother. However it has a smaller 4.3" display with 720p display and smaller 2,300 mAh battery.

Here's the specs of the Xperia Z1 Compact:
  • 4.3" 720p HD Triluminos IPS display at 341 ppi pixel density with X-Reality Mobile Engine
  • 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM
  • 20.7 MP camera with Sony G lens and 1080p video recording at 30fps
  • 2 MP front camera with 1080p video conferencing at 30fps
  • 16 GB internal storage, microSD card slot up to 64 GB
  • Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat shortly after launch)
  • 2,300 mAh battery
  • 127 x 64.9 x 9.5 mm, 137 g

The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is a mini high-end smartphone, it will be available in black, white, lime yellow and pink colours. However the pricing is still unknown but you can expect it priced at around RM 1,799 once available in Malaysia.
