[Update] Sony Xperia Z1 Compact will available in Malaysia next week

[Update] The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact official pricing is at RM 1,699 according to Lowyat.net. MalaysianWireless has reduced the price to RM 1,699.

The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact will available in Malaysia next week, which is even earlier than what Sony has announced. Sony authorised reseller IMCC has stated that the stock of Xperia Z1 Compact available next week.



As for the pricing, IMCC has listed the device at RM 1,799 RM 1,699, which is higher than expected, and also AP set too. However it's not all bad as the Xperia Z1 Compact is same as the Xperia Z1 (RM 2,199) despite the smaller battery and screen size with lower resolution.


Besides the smaller 4.3" 720p TFT display, the Xperia Z1 Compact has the same 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB expandable storage, 20.7 MP camera with Sony G lens and IP58 rating for water and dust resistance certification.

As the screen size is smaller, the Xperia Z1 Compact also has a smaller 2,300 mAh battery. The device is running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat.

Meanwhile, the Xperia Z1 Compact does come with additional pink and yellow colour options, but Sony has left out the purple colour option.
