Oppo R1S officially announced with LTE

Oppo has just officially announced the R1S, which is the successor of Oppo R1. The Oppo R1S comes with faster chipset, better camera and additional LTE connectivity.

   

The R1S looks same as the R1, it has the same 5" 720p IPS display but it is now using 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC with 1 GB of RAM. The new chipset brings additional LTE connectivity, which you can't find in the R1.




At the back of the R1S, it has a 13 MP camera with f/2.0 Aperture, which upgraded from 8 MP resolution. Its camera features 32-second long exposure, which is hard to find in a smartphone these days. The front-facing camera has 5 MP resolution for better selfie too.

The new Oppo R1S measures 142.7 x 70.4 x 7.1 mm and weighs 140 g including the 2,410 mAh battery. The device has 16 GB internal storage and it drops the dual-SIM support.

Oppo R1S runs on Colour OS 1.2 which is based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. No word on the availability and pricing in Malaysia but it is available for pre-order in China for CNY 2,498 (around RM 1,300) starting tomorrow.
