OPPO Malaysia will not raise the prices after GST

As GST will be effective from 1st April, many companies have raised the pricing of their products. However, no for OPPO Malaysia. OPPO Malaysia has stated that the company will absorb GST, which means the prices of OPPO smartphones won't be increased.

It's a good news for those who are interested on OPPO product. "We take to heart on how consumers will be more concerning and considering on their spending and expenses. This is the reason why we rather absorb the 6% GST for consumers, where we earn less and give back to OPPO smartphone users as part of the company's commitment to support the cause", said William Fang, CEO OPPO Malaysia.

Oppo Malaysia encourages consumers to report counterfeit products in the market

It's not surprising to see counterfeit products selling everywhere in the market, however it seems that more and more consumers have been scammed with those counterfeit products. This happened to Oppo Malaysia, there are 644 cases of counterfeit products have been reported to Oppo Malaysia HQ, where Oppo found out there are counterfeiters illegally selling Oppo products to consumers.

This issue has been raised where there are spoiled phones sent to Oppo service center including the Find 7 and N3 as well, which just available in the market. This is one of the serious cases since Oppo came to Malaysia. This issue not only rips off the consumer and provides shoddy products, and Oppo truly cannot accept any cheating cases to their customers.

Oppo U3 goes official with 5.9" display

Oppo has launched a brand new phablet in its homeland, China. The Oppo U3 is a phablet with 5.9" 1080p display and is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz.

Previous rumors had pointed out that the U3 will come with 4x zoom lens, but it turns out that the U3 has a fixed focal length lens after all. The U3 is paired with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage, which can be expanded via Micro SD card.

Oppo Mirror 3 will be available in Malaysia this week

Oppo has made the Mirror 3 official in Vietnam last week, and the device is said to be available in Malaysia this week at reasonable RM 898.

The Mirror 3 has a 4.7" HD IPS LCD display and is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. The phone has 8 GB internal storage and can be expanded via Micro SD card up to 128 GB.

It has a Sony IMX179 sensor with 8 MP resolution that comes with f/2.0 aperture lens. The sensor itself is a 1/3.2" piece of silicon, resulting in a 1.4 micron pixel size. Surprisingly the front camera is a 5 MP unit, giving a hit to the rest of the manufacturers.

The Mirror 3 packs a 2,000 mAh battery capable for charging from zero to 100% at just 90 minutes. is running on ColorOS 2.0.1 based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

Oppo Mirror 3 is a 64-bit mid-ranger

Besides the R1C, Oppo has also announced its new 64-bit mid-range smartphone - Mirror 3. The smartphone was teased on Oppo Malaysia official Facebook page few days ago.

The Mirror 3 has a 4.7" HD IPS LCD display and is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. The phone has 8 GB internal storage and can be expanded via Micro SD card up to 128 GB.

Oppo R1C officially announced, would cost $400

The Oppo R1C was expected to be announced on January 14 by a few publications, so Oppo were right on schedule with its new announcements. The R1C is priced at $403 or approximately RM 2,499.

Oppo's new device has a beautifully sleek body that is a mere 6.85 mm with a sapphire crystal back panel. It has a 5.0-inch 720p display, it will be powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor with 2 GB. The Oppo R1C has 16 GB of internal memory with a microSD slot for additional memory options, it also has a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. It also has a 2,420 mAh battery while its onboard software is the Oppo Colour OS 2.0.1 based on Android 4.4 Kit Kat.

Oppo N3 pre-order now available for RM 2,098

The Oppo R5 pre-order was available a couple weeks ago, and now it's N3 turn. Oppo Malaysia today has opened pre-order for the N3 at a retail price of RM 2,098.

Oppo Malaysia today has announced the pricing as well as the availability of the R5. The Oppo R5 is priced at RM 1,598 and you can now pre-order it from here.

The pre-order starts from today (15th November) until 10th December, which means the R5 will be available by next month. First 3,000 pre-orders will get free gift worth RM 306, which includes VOOC car charger, screen protector and phone casing.

Oppo unveils the N3 and R5 smartphone

Oppo today has officially unveiled the N3 and R5 in Singapore.

Oppo N3

The Oppo N3, which is the second generation of the N1 has been shrunken down significantly compared to its predecessor. That’s at the cost of a slightly smaller display of 5.5-inch, compared to 5.9-inch on the N1. The N3 is shorter, narrower, and about 20 grams lighter than the first-gen, albeit a millimeter thicker.

Oppo is now seeding the ColorOS 2.0 update to Find 7 and Find 7a users. The latest ColorOS 2.0 is based on Android 4.4 KitKat and it was in beta form for the Find 5 back in August.

Oppo teases N3 back panel

The Oppo N3 previously leaked in three colors and today, Oppo has officially teased the N3 back panel.

As you can see the rotating camera module is now more stylish, Oppo has given it a faux-leather finish and a single piece of metal in the middle surrounding the camera module and dual-LED flash.

The Oppo N3 will pack a 5.9" 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC, 3 GB of RAM and a 13 MP rotating camera.

Reports stated that the Oppo N3 will be having two versions with different build materials. It is set to break cover on October 29th in Singapore.

Leaked renders show Oppo N3 to have three color versions

The official announcement of the Oppo N3 is set on October 29th in Singapore. The upcoming N3 is expected to pack the same rotating camera as the N1, and it seems that Oppo has decided to launch the N3 with three colors instead of one from the N1. Today, a trio of press renders have revealed the color options of the device.

The Oppo N3 will come with two build material - aluminum-lithium alloy and stainless steel. It is expected to pack a 5.9" 1080p display and a Snapdragon 805 SoC coupled by 3 GB of RAM. The rotating camera is capable for 206-degree rotation and will feature a 13 MP sensor with dual-LED flash.

Oppo is ready to challenge the newly announced HTC Desire EYE with the N3 and it is likely to price higher than the Find 7.

New Oppo N3 press render shows different design

Few days ago the Oppo N3 had leaked in a couple of press images. However, it seems that the Oppo N3 will be having a different design from what we've seen few days ago.

The image above is leaked by SoyaCincau, showing that the upcoming Oppo N3 will be having a different design.

It looks more squarish with a flat top end, which looks like the current N1. The camera is still rotatable and it will feature dual LED flash. We doubt that the phone will be having unibody design and it may be using metal plate for the back.

So far there's no word on the specs of the upcoming Oppo N3. We can only wait until its official announcement on October 29th.

Oppo R1L with 4G LTE now available in Malaysia

Oppo Malaysia has brought another 4G LTE-enabled smartphone to Malaysian market. The Oppo R1L, which is the successor of R1, is now available in Malaysia for RM 1,198.

At just 7.1 mm thin, the R1L has a 5" IPS HD display and is powered by 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM.

The 13 MP camera employs a built-in and dust-free design, which means it's protected from dust. It uses Sony imx2014 CMOS chip, which has a light-sensitive area of up to 1/3.2", 6P spherical lens and f/2.0 aperture. There's also a 5 MP front camera too.

The Oppo R1L packs 16 GB internal storage and a 2,410 mAh battery. It is running on latest ColorOS 1.2 based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Oppo N3 press images leak with rotating camera

Oppo seems busy for the upcoming announcement of the N3 that happening next month. The device has leaked in a couple of press images showing its rotating camera.

The images reveal the device with a very different design. The device will still feature rotating camera on top the display.

The Oppo N3 will also feature dual LED flash, which is similar to its predecessor. There's no word on its screen size, chipset, camera and the rest of specifications.

Oppo Neo 5 is the cheapest 4G LTE smartphone in Malaysia

Oppo has officially announced the LTE-enabled Neo 5 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz.

The Oppo Neo 5 has a 4.5" FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) display with the pixel density of 218 ppi. The device features 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB expandable storage.

At the back it has a 5 MP camera with a BSI CMOS sensor and f/2.4 aperture. There's a 2 MP front-facing camera too.

Oppo reduces the pricing of Find 7 to RM 1,898

The Oppo Find 7 is the latest flagship device from Oppo with a 5.5" QHD display, 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 13 MP camera and 3,000 mAh battery.

Oppo N1 mini goes official with 5" display

Oppo has finally made the N1 mini official, however the company has shared some details of the device, but not all.

The Oppo N1 mini has a smaller 5" display than its bigger brother but with unknown screen resolution. It has the same 13 MP Sony 6-element lens rotating camera with a 1/3.2" sensor size. The camera does feature Super Zoom mode, which is introduced with the Find 7. However the N1 mini can only works at 24 MP instead of 50 MP.

Moreover, the N1 mini weighs at 150 g, which is quite heavy for a 5" smartphone. It is running on ColorOS 1.4 based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

Oppo will make the N1 mini available for purchasing on June 11th in China, expect more details of the device will be revealed on the same day.
