Huawei Honor 6 goes official with octa-core chipset

Huawei has officially unveiled the latest flagship device - Huawei Honor 6. The Huawei Honor 6 is only at 6.5 mm thick and weighs 135 g, which is pretty thin and light.


The Honor 6 packs a 5" 1080p display from JDI, which covers 75.7% of the front and is surrounded by sub-3mm bezels. Powering the device is a Kirin 920 octa-core chipsets, which is comparable with Samsung's Exynos octa-core processor. However the Kirin 920 chipset supports additional LTE Cat. 6 for up to 300Mbps downlink speeds.


Multitasking is not a problem on the Honor 6 as it comes with 3 GB of RAM. The 16/32 GB internal storage is expanded via microSD card.

The Huawei Honor 6 packs a 13 MP camera with a Sony IMX214 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. The device has a 5 MP front-facing camera with 1.4 µm pixels, 88° FoV and f/2.4 aperture.

Juicing up the device is a 3,100 mAh battery and it has the brand new power-saving features. The device is running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Emotion UI 2.3. No word on the launching date and pricing of the Honor 6 in Malaysia at the moment.
