Samsung Galaxy Tab S series now available in Malaysia

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S series was announced few weeks ago, and Samsung Mobile Malaysia has finally brought the tablets to Malaysian market start from RM 1,699.

 

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S series has 8.4" and 10.5" versions. The 8.4" version is priced at RM 1,699 while the 10.5" version is priced at RM 1,999. The slates feature Super AMOLED display with WQXGA resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) resulting high pixel density.

Both tablets are powered by Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa chipset with a four 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 cores and four 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 cores with 3 GB of RAM. The 16 GB internal storage can be expanded via microSD card.

At the back, both tablets pack 8 MP cameras with LED flashes, capable for 1080p video recordings. The front-facing shooters for both tablets are 2.1 MP.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S family comes with IR blaster and additional fingerprint scanner, which you can't see in the rest of Galaxy Tab tablets. The slates look like bigger version of Galaxy S5 with faux leather plastic back.

Juicing up both tablets are a 7,900 mAh battery for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and 4,900 mAh battery for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Both tablets are running on Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung's Magazine UX. Both slates will be available from July 11th.
