Microsoft Mobile officially unveils the Nokia X2

Microsoft Mobile has officially announced the next generation of Nokia X, the Nokia X2. The new Nokia X2 comes with a few improvements as well as design changes.


The new Nokia X2 has a larger 4.3" ClearBlack LCD display but with the same WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution. It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with additional 1 GB of RAM, which is upgraded from its predecessor with 512 MB RAM.

At the back it has an upgraded 5 MP camera with capable of 720p video recording. The new Nokia X2 also comes with LED flash. The device has a VGA front-facing camera too.

The Nokia X2 has 4 GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card up to 32 GB. Connectivity wise stay unchanged from its predecessor.



The Nokia X2 dimensions are 121.7 x 68.3 x 11.1 mm and weighs 150 g. The device is running on updated Nokia X software 2.0, which comes with some new features. Juicing up the device is a 1,800 mAh battery with 13 hours rated talk time and 23 days rated stand-by time.

The Nokia X2 is still a dual-SIM device and finally has a dedicated home button. It will be available in green, orange and black, with yellow, white and dark grey completing the colourful range later.

The device is said to be priced at €99 (RM 434), but there's no word on the exact launch date and pricing of it at the moment.
