Samsung Galaxy S5 mini appears next to its bigger brother

The Samsung Galaxy S5 mini has been in rumor mill for quite a long time. Today a few high-res images have revealed the upcoming "mini" smartphone from Samsung and we have the specs details too.

   

The upcoming Galaxy S5 mini looks same as its bigger brother despite smaller size. The source claims the device is still IP67 dust and water resistance even though there is no flap covering the microUSB port like the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 Active.

The back cover of the Galaxy S5 mini has the same dotted pattern and the heart-rate monitor is on the same spot.

   

The upcoming Galaxy S5 mini is expected to sport a 4.5" 720p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos 3 Quad processor, 1.5 GB RAM, 8 MP camera, 2.1 MP front camera, 16 GB internal storage and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The device will have same features as the Galaxy S5 and there is a chance the Galaxy S5 mini goes official on June 12th.
