LG has just announced the mid-range variant of the G3 - LG G3 Beat. The LG G3 Beat is not the mini version of the G3, it carries the same design language as the G3 but with slightly downgrade specifications.

The G3 Beat sports a 5" display with HD (720 x 1280) resolution at 294 ppi pixel density. Just like the G3, it has the highest screen-to-body ratio of 74.1%.

Powering the device is a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal memory. It also comes with microSD card slot for further expansion.

The G3 Beat has a slightly downgrade 8 MP camera instead of 13 MP. Thankfully, the laser autofocus sensor is still there next to the camera lens.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS/Glonass, NFC and USB 2.0. With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, the G3 Beat supports 4G LTE network as well.

It will make its debut on July 18th in South Korea and begin its global rollout from Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries in the weeks that follow. Color options are same as the G3 - Metallic Black, Silk White and Shine Gold.
