[MWC 2015] LG showcases four mid-range smartphones

Last week LG has announced that there will be four mid-range smartphones showcased at MWC 2015. These include - Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy.


All these four devices will be available in both LTE and 3G versions. The Magna and Spirit come with 3,000 mm radius curve for comfortable handling experience.

[CES 2015] LG officially announces the G Flex 2

The LG G3 has just entered Malaysian market last week, but it's not all. LG today has unveiled the second generation of its flexible device, the G Flex 2, at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.


The new G Flex 2 has a smaller 5.5" (down from 6") P-OLED display but with a higher 1080p resolution (up from 720p). Additionally, the screen is still flexible and is protected by LG-developed glass cover that said to be 20% more durable than Gorilla Glass 3.

LG G3 and G3 Stylus to be available in Malaysia next week

LG Malaysia recently was quiet when it comes to mobile devices, things changed a couple days ago. The G3 and G3 Stylus is going to available in Malaysia next week and Brightstar will be the official distributor to sell it.


The G3 is the latest flagship smartphone from LG. It packs a 5.5" QHD IPS display at the 538 ppi pixel density. The device is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage.

LG will not only bringing the G3 to Malaysia, the G3 Stylus is on its way too

Earlier today we saw the teaser from LG Malaysia teasing that something is coming to Malaysian market. Yes, the G3 is confirmed to be available in Malaysia very soon before Christmas. Not only that, the latest mid-range phablet from LG is also on its way to Malaysian market too - G3 Stylus.


Well, both devices have passed through local SIRIM database and is likely to launch on 18th December. Brightstar Malaysia will be the official distributor to sell the devices.

The G3 Stylus was announced back to August, it is a mid-range phablet that comes with stylus and has the same design as the flagship G3.

LG Malaysia is launching the G3 on December 18th?

LG Malaysia has been quiet for years when it comes to mobile devices. The G2 never been here officially without any reason. Back to May, LG has unveiled the brand new flagship G3, which is the first smartphone to have laser auto focus. And just right a couple day after it was announced, LG has confirmed that the G3 is heading to Malaysia but at last it was just LG too excited about the launch of G3, and the availability of the G3 in Malaysia is still under investigation.


Just when everyone is thinking that LG will not bringing the G3 to Malaysian market, miracle happens. LG Malaysia has teased something will be launched in Malaysia on 18th December, which is likely to be the G3.

LG to roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop to G3 this week

Just when everyone thought that the Android 5.0 Lollipop will first hit Google Nexus devices, LG has announced that the Lollipop update will be seeding to the G3 starting in Poland this week.


This latest Android OS delivers a host of improvements including a new design language with added depth, shadows and animations. Notifications are improved with a new layout and color scheme and will be available on the new lock screen. A new security feature to strengthen the connectivity between devices will include enabling users to unlock their smartphone when it is physically near a pre-registered Bluetooth device such as the LG G Watch or G Watch R. Lollipop also introduces Android Runtime (ART) software to improve performance.

LG will announce additional details related to the Lollipop update in the near future. Well, it's quite shocking as LG is the first to roll out Lollipop update.

LG Wine Smart debuts in Korea, a flip smartphone

LG has announced a flip smartphone for Korean market - LG Wine Smart. The Wine Smart is an Android smartphone features capacitive touchscreen and keypad.


Specs wise, it is more on entry-level. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM and has a 3.5" LCD display with 480 x 320 resolution.

The 4 GB internal memory is expandable via microSD card up to 32 GB. It has an 8 MP camera at the back accompanied with VGA front camera. It packs 1,700 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The device supports LTE connectivity too and measures 118.6 x 59.4 x 16.9 mm and weighs 140.8 g.

LG announces G Watch R, a full circle display Android Wear device

LG has just announced another Android Wear powered device - LG G Watch R. Unlike the G Watch, which first announced back to June, the G Watch R comes with 1.3" (320 x 320 pixels) full circle P-OLED display.



This wearable device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor at 1.2 GHz with 512 MB of RAM. Other specs are 4 GB internal storage, 410 mAh battery and 9-Axis sensors (Gyro/ Accelerometer/ Compass), Barometer, PPG (Heart Rate Monitor).

LG announces G3 Stylus, a G3 with stylus

LG has announced the G3 Stylus ahead of IFA 2014. The device is a mid-range phablet that comes with stylus and it has the same design as the flagship G3.


The device sports a 5.5" IPS display with qHD (540 x 960) resolution and is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. It has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage with microSD card slot for further expansion. The camera is still a 13 MP unit but the front camera is only 1.3 MP.

LG G3 Stylus specs get detailed

Followed by yesterday's leak, today we finally get to learn more about the LG G3 Stylus. The LG G3 Stylus won't be a high-end device, which disappoints many LG fans out there.


According to the latest leak, the LG G3 Stylus will come with 5.7" 720p display, 8 MP camera, 1.3 MP front camera, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB expandable storage.

Powering the device will be a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with LTE network support, and it shall run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The new overall specifications of the G3 Stylus will be slightly downgraded compared with the regular G3. There's no word on its official launch date at the moment, so be sure to keep check back from us.

LG G3 Stylus will challenge Samsung Galaxy Note series

It seems that LG is working on a new variant for the G3, called LG G3 Stylus. The LG G3 Stylus is spotted in an official promo video for the LG G3 Beat.


The LG G3 Stylus appears to be the same size or slightly larger than the original G3 that features 5.5" display. However unlike the G3, the G3 Stylus comes with a stylus and there's a slot for it too.

LG announces G3 Beat, the mid-range G3

LG has just announced the mid-range variant of the G3 - LG G3 Beat. The LG G3 Beat is not the mini version of the G3, it carries the same design language as the G3 but with slightly downgrade specifications.


The G3 Beat sports a 5" display with HD (720 x 1280) resolution at 294 ppi pixel density. Just like the G3, it has the highest screen-to-body ratio of 74.1%.

Powering the device is a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal memory. It also comes with microSD card slot for further expansion.

[Update] LG G3 might enter Malaysian market soon

[Update] LG Malaysia has officially confirmed that the G3 will be coming to Malaysia. However there's no word regarding exactly when it'll be launched here.

[Update 2] Bad news! LG Malaysia rep has now stated that “there is no visibility” on the G3 in Malaysia at the moment. It appears that LG Malaysia itself is not yet sure if the company’s flagship smartphone is coming to the country. LG Malaysia has also stated that the G3 is still on market research and planning in Malaysia.

Just when we thought that Malaysian consumers will not be able to purchase the G3 official stock just like the G2, Nexus 5, G Flex and G Pro 2, it appears that things may be different this time round. LG announces QuickCircle Case for G3

LG has just officially announced the QuickCircle Case for the upcoming LG G3. Don't get us wrong, the G3 hasn't official yet, but it will be official on 27th May indeed.

    

The QuickCircle Case has a circular window on the flip cover that previews some information such as calling, messanging, camera, music player, settings and health app.

The QuickCircle Case will be available in five colours - Silk White, Shine Gold, Metallic Black, Indian Pink and Aqua Mint. It also features wireless charging on the phone.

LG G3 press renders appear in three colours

The LG G3 is yet another high anticipate smartphone and it is expected to go official on May 27th. The upcoming LG flagship device has appeared in a few press renders.


The upcoming LG G3 will come in three different colours - white, grey and gold. Each of the colours features the metal-like with brushed finish. The upcoming G3 is likely to feature a two-tone dual-LED flash and IR blaster.

LG Optimus G Android 4.4 KitKat update now rolling out

We have already heard that the LG Optimus G will be getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update previously, and just as promised LG has rolled out the Android 4.4 KitKat to the Optimus G.

The latest Android 4.4 KitKat update is currently only available in South Korea, but other regions are expected to get it soon. The OTA update weighs 608 MB and it is recommended to download it over Wi-Fi.

LG first Windows Phone 8.1 device leaks with slim bezels design

It seems that LG is ready to make a comeback on the Windows Phone market, famous tipster evleaks has just posted a press render of the upcoming LG Windows Phone 8.1 device.


The upcoming LG Windows Phone 8.1 device is codenamed as LG Uni8, it will feature slim bezels design and it will have on-screen navigations buttons. Not much details being revealed but we expect it will have a 5" plus display with 1080p resolution.

The device should be powered by a Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2 GB of RAM. As for the camera, it is believed to pack a 13 MP camera with OIS.

LG is ready to compete its Windows Phone 8.1 device against other manufacturers, but can it manages to take away the first place from Nokia, now it's Microsoft.
