LG Optimus G Android 4.4 KitKat update now rolling out

We have already heard that the LG Optimus G will be getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update previously, and just as promised LG has rolled out the Android 4.4 KitKat to the Optimus G.



The latest Android 4.4 KitKat update is currently only available in South Korea, but other regions are expected to get it soon. The OTA update weighs 608 MB and it is recommended to download it over Wi-Fi.


The Android 4.4 KitKat update brings the support for the ART runtime and the UI has also been refreshed with a transparent status bar and a new tabbed settings menu. The Knock on and Knock code features are also present in the latest LG's Optimus UI.

It's a good news that LG hasn't forget its old flagship, the Optimus G is a fine smartphone with an excellent 720p display and a capable quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC. Let's just hope that LG could quickly seed the update to other markets.
