The Lumia 532 was announced two months ago, and guess what? The Lumia 532 will be available in Malaysia from 27th March onwards for just RM 379.

Being the most affordable Windows Phone in Malaysia at the moment, the Lumia 532 packs a Snapdragon 200 chipset which comes with a quad-core CPU ticking at 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. It features 8 GB of storage which is expandable up to 128 GB with a Micro SD card. As usual, a 30 GB OneDrive cloud storage is included.

[MWC 2015] Microsoft announces Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL

Microsoft today has added another two more devices to the Lumia family - Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL.

The Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL are both a mid-range smartphone. Both devices are different in size and rear camera. The Lumia 640 sports a 5" HD display while the XL version has a 5.7" HD display.

Lumia 532 debuts with a 5 MP camera and a quad-core CPU.

Alongside the announcement of the Lumia 435, the Lumia 532 is proving that Microsoft is very serious about taking a piece of the entry-level smartphone market. The Lumia 532 is a revamped iteration of the already familiar Lumia 530.

The new smartphone packs a Snapdragon 200 chipset which comes with a quad-core CPU ticking at 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM compared to its predecessor's 512 MB. The Lumia 532 comes with 8 GB of storage which is expandable up to 128 GB with a Micro SD card. As usual, a 30 GB OneDrive cloud storage is included.

The 4-inch display of 800 x 480 pixel resolution provides a stage for the Windows Phone 8.1 with the Lumia Denim update on top. In terms of imaging, the 5 MP main camera has that covered which beats out the 435's 2 MP camera and probably a VGA front shooter. The Lumia 532 comes with a 1,560 mAh battery in an all-plastic battery, weighing a little over the average at 131.8 g.

The device would be available in single and dual SIM in stores across Europe, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa starting in February. The unsubsidized price is just around $90.

Lumia 435: The most affordable Lumia to date

The Lumia 530 has gotten a promotion up the totem pole as now the Microsoft Lumia 435 and Lumia 435 dual SIM is now the entry-level smartphone in the Lumia line. The base model starts at an unbelievable $80 and considering how Lumias tend to have price cuts, a lower price is not out of the question yet.

So do you expect a very shoddy phone with bad specs? Well not really, the Lumia 435 keeps 5'' LCD screen (480 x 800 px) present on the 5xx series. It also runs Denim-enhanced Windows Phone 8.1 on a Snapdragon 200 chipset with 1 GB of RAM. That's remarkably double the RAM of the Lumia 635, albeit only half the cores. You also start with 8 GB of onboard memory which is expendable up to 128 GB with external memory cards.

One aspect that was cut by Microsoft is in terms of the camera, the main camera is a 2 MP fixed-focus snapper that records 480p video at 30 fps. There's also a VGA front-facing camera which the Lumia 635 does not. The Lumia camera and Lumia Selfie Apps come pre-loaded.

The new device weighs 131.9 g and comes with a 1,560 mAh battery which is good for almost 12 hours of talk time, 21 if you're using 2G. The phone boasts 42.2 Mbps downlink speeds over 3G, which is pretty much as good as it gets in the pre-LTE days.

A-GPS and GLONASS are available for HERE DRIVE+ to take you anywhere around the world, no data necessary.

The Microsoft Lumia 435 and Lumia 435 Dual SIM will be available in February in select countries in Europe and the Asia Pacific.
