Meizu MX4 will launch in Malaysia officially by the end of this month

Chinese companies are aiming their bullets to Malaysian market. Meizu is the next company to bring its smartphones to Malaysia after Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo and Zopo. The Meizu MX4, which is the company's flagship device will enter Malaysia by the end of this month.


Announced last month, the Meizu MX4 has a 5.36" IPS display of 1152x1920 resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by MediaTek MT6595 processor with octa-core CPU (four Cortex-A17 cores at 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A7 cores at 1.7 GHz). Its big.LITTLE architecture will allow all eight cores to work simultaneously. The GPU in charge of graphics is the powerful quad-core PowerVR G6200, alongside 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

The camera at the back is a 20.7 MP Sony Exmor RS sensor with dual-LED dual-tone flash. The lens itself is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and its camera is capable for 4K video recording at 30 fps. The 2 MP front camera is also a Sony sensor capable of capturing 1080p videos.

The Meizu MX4 is running on Flyme OS 4.0 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Juicing up the device is a 3,100 mAh Sony battery unit.

Pricing wise, the MX4 will be priced at RM 1,048, which is very competitive to other affordable flagship devices. It will have full 4G LTE support for Malaysia LTE Bands TD-LTE/FDD-LTE/TD. The device is currently available in China with 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB versions, no word on what version will Malaysia get.
