Motorola unveils 2nd generation Moto E with LTE

Motorola did well on the first generation Moto E with affordable price tag but good specs in town. We have reviewed it few months ago and you can find it out here. This year, Motorola has unveiled the 2nd generation Moto E, much like what they did to the Moto G and Moto X.

The 2nd generation Moto E screen has grew to 4.5", but the resolution is still the same. There are actually two variants of Moto E - 3G and 4G LTE. The 3G variant is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, while the 4G LTE variant has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz.

The RAM is still 1 GB but the internal storage has been doubled to 8 GB with Micro SD card slot. There's a 5 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and is capable for 720p video recording. There's a VGA front camera too, not exactly the best for selfie but better than nothing. Motorola has also brought in twist your wrist to activate camera feature to the new Moto E.

The device has a 2,390 mAh battery with mixed usage up to 24 hours. It is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop and Motorola will keep in mind for future update.

The phone costs USD $149.99 and is available in black and white colors. You can purchase the accessories like Motorola Bands and Motorola Grip Shells to customize the Moto E with different colors.
