[MWC 2015] HTC One M9 goes official with dual-tone finish

HTC has just unveiled the company's latest flagship smartphone - One M9. The device packs the same design language as the M8 and M7, and HTC had even made some changes on it.


The One M9 comes with dual-tone metal unibody with mirror-polished gold sides cascade effortlessly into a hairline brushed silver back panel.


Display wise, the One M9 still features the same 5" 1080p Full HD display. However, the device is powered by the latest 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3 GB of RAM. HTC has doubled the internal storage of M9 from M8 to 32 GB, and it's expandable too.



The rear camera of the M9 is a 20 MP unit for the first time in HTC smartphone with f/2.2 aperture and is covered by sapphire glass. And the camera is capable for 4K video recording too, which everyone was hoping to see on the M8.

Although the rear camera is no longer an UltraPixel camera, but HTC hasn't give up at all. The M9 front-facing camera is the company's proudly UltraPixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.


HTC BoomSound now combined with 5.1 channel Dolby Surround sound simulation. With HTC Connect, a three-finger swipe on the screen connects the phone to compatible TVs or external speakers from leading manufacturers including Harman Kardon.

The HTC One M9 is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop on top of Sense 7 UI. HTC has promised that the Sense 7 UI will be available on M8 and existing HTC devices later this year through software update. The new Sense 7 UI is now highly customizable and intuitively you, Themes puts you at the center of the smartphone experience, intelligently analyzing your favorite photos to modify the look and feel of your apps, color scheme and backgrounds. Sense 7 reinvents the home screen to deliver the most useful apps to the homepage based on your location.

               

The One M9 comes with second generation Dot View case, which adds more retro personalization. Nevertheless HTC will be selling IP68 water resistant Active Case and Active Headset too, which means that your phone can boldly follow wherever the action takes you, keeping up with the pace of the most epic adventures.

The HTC One M9 will be available globally in dual-tone silver and rose gold, single-tone gunmetal grey, single-tone gold and dual-tone gold and pink in from mid-March.
