ASUS PadFone S Plus goes official, available in Malaysia next week

Well, well ,well. Last year, we saw ASUS brought PadFone S to Malaysia with extremely low price. We even got a full review about it, you can check it here. This year, the company has upgraded the PadFone S with slightly improved specs, and no doubt it is named as PadFone S Plus.

ASUS official distributor, Dynamics Distribution has stated that the PadFone S Plus will be available in Malaysia from 8th April onwards.

Overall the new PadFone S Plus is almost same as the original PadFone S. It still comes with a 5" Full HD display covered by Corning Gorilla Glass and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz.

However, the RAM has upgraded to 3 GB and its internal storage is now 64 GB, and it's expandable via MicroSD card too.

That's it, the improvements are just the RAM and internal storage. The battery is still a 2,300 mAh unit and not to forget that it comes with Qi wireless charging (Malaysian unit doesn't support wireless charging).

The camera is more of the same at 13 MP and capable for 4K video recording. And, the PadFone S Plus is still IPX 2 rated splash resistant.

Just as usual, there are some accessories available for purchase like the flip cover, PadFone S Station, Bluetooth Keyboard and tempered glass screen protector.

ASUS is selling the PadFone S Plus without any bundle for RM 1,099. One thing you should be noted is this price is included with GST (Goods and Services Tax).
