LG announced Brightstar as official local retailer for LG smartphone

LG Malaysia has finally announced its partnership with Brightstar Malaysia as the national distributor of selected LG Optimus smartphones. This means that more Optimus smartphones will be available in Malaysia soon, including Optimus G Pro. The LG Optimus G, Optimus L9 and Optimus L5 II Dual are now officially available at all retailers nationwide.



This prove that the previous news that we posted was true. The Optimus G, Optimus L9 and Optimus L5 II Dual available in this month and LG Malaysia promises that it will be more LG Optimus smartphones to come in the future.


LG Optimus G



The LG Optimus G was released late last year, it was the first smartphone to use Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core CPU, it supported Malaysia 4G LTE network.

The Optimus G features 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, 4.7" (1280 x 768 pixels) True HD IPS Plus display, 13 MP camera, 1.3 MP front, 1080p video recording, 2,100 mAh battery and it is running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in Malaysia. [Updated: The Optimus G is running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean]. While there's still no information about Jelly Bean update in Malaysia, believed that it will received the update soon. For this type of specs priced at RM 1,599. It is really worth to purchase it.

LG Optimus L9



The Optimus L9 is a mid-range smartphone. It features 1 GHz dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM, 4.7" qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS LCD display, 4 GB internal memory, micro-SD card slot, 5 MP camera, 1080p video recording, 2,150 mAh battery and running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Android Jelly Bean update will be available soon in a month's time. The Optimus L9 is priced at RM 899 same as Xperia L.

LG Optimus L5 II Dual

Next, the Optimus L5 II Dual is also available in Malaysia for RM 529.

The Optimus L5 II Dual is a dual-SIM smartphone, it is also 2nd generation of L-Series smartphone. It features 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 4" (480 x 800 pixels) IPS LCD display, 4 GB internal storage, 5 MP camera, 1,700 mAh battery and it is the first LG Optimus smartphone that running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean in Malaysia.
