The Xperia Z Ultra was available in certain places last week, but yesterday, Sony Mobile has officially launched the Xperia Z Ultra in Malaysia and it is now available in all Sony Centres and authorised retail outlets at a retail price of RM 2,299.
The Xperia Z Ultra is the first smartphone in Malaysia to feature the Snapdragon 800 quad-core CPU which clocked at 2.2 GHz and it has 2 GB of RAM. The smartphone has a gigantic 6.44" Full HD display with Triluminos technology which you can found on latest range of Sony BRAVIA TVs.
Other specs included 16 GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 8 MP camera, 2 MP front-camera, 1080p video recording and 3,000 mAh battery.
The Xperia Z Ultra is the world's slimmest Full HD smartphone at 6.5 mm, it weighs at 212 g. It is also the world's only waterproof Full HD smartphone with IP58 rating for dust and water resistance.
Note that the Xperia Z Ultra that current on sale does not support LTE. There's a rumor suggesting the LTE variant will be available in September, which mean that the LTE variant may available alongside with the Sony Smartwatch 2 in September.
