Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is finally available in Sony Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z. The update of Xperia ZR was rolled out last week and Xperia Tablet Z was few days ago.
The user interface of Xperia ZR after the update is quite similar to Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, with the firmware version 10.3.1.A.0.244. The Update Center apps has been redesigned just as the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL latest update after the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.
Sony said that the 3G signal strength is improved, the screen contrast is now higher which should result in dark text looking better on light background. Sony has also added the Quick Settings option in the notification panel, but users can only add up to 10 shortcuts at once. The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean has also brings DayDream screensaver option.
Back to Xperia Tablet Z, the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is now rolling out for LTE version only, the Wi-Fi version of Xperia Tablet Z currently no news about the update. After the update, Sony has changed elements of the UI including moving the notification bar to the top and centered the virtual buttons.
The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is now seeding to Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z users, we're not clear whether the update have arrive Malaysia or not. Do let us know if you already received the update.
