Asus Fonepad 7 priced at RM 999, available on October

The Asus Fonepad 7 was announced in IFA 2013 which is just few weeks ago, and Asus Malaysia has decided to bring the latest Intel-powered tablet to Malaysia on October.



The Asus Fonepad 7 will be available in Sapphire Black and Diamond White, it will be priced at RM 999 when it launched in Malaysia.


For specs recap, the Asus Fonepad 7 is powered by 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor and running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It has a 7" WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS LCD display.It is measures at 10.5 mm in thickness and weighs 340 g and the tablet has a dual SonicMaster stereo speakers.

There's a 5 MP camera at the back that can shoot 100 photos in burst and record 1080p video. It has 1.2 MP front camera too. The tablet has 8/16/32 GB internal storage with microSD card slot, but it likely that Malaysia will be only 8 GB version. The Asus Fonepad 7 has 3,950 mAh battery and is rated for 35 days standby, 28 hours of 3G talk time or 10 hours video playback.

The Asus Fonepad 7 is a tablet with phone calls functionality, so it may be a tablet you are looking for. Or perhaps the Google Nexus 7 (2013) is a better choice as it is also priced at the same price as the Fonepad 7.
