[IFA 2013] Alcatel announces OneTouch Idol Alpha and OneTouch Hero

Alcatel has just announced the OneTouch Idol Alpha and OneTouch Hero, both devices will be showcased at the upcoming IFA 2013 scheduled to start this Friday, 6th of September.

Alcatel shows off  Idol Alpha's 47 display and light up edges

The Alcatel OneTouch Alpha has a 4.7" 720p IPS LCD display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. Other specs include 16 GB non-expandable storage, 13 MP rear camera capable for 1080p video recording, 1.3 MP front-facing camera and a 2,000 mAh battery.

The OneTouch Alpha uses metal case, curves and translucent edges design. The translucent edge can illuminate in various modes such as charging, video, and other notifications. The OneTouch Alpha is running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Alcatel OneTouch Hero
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero is a 6" phablet. Featuring a 6” Full HD IPS display, the new addition is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor but what’s interesting about the Hero isn’t its specs, it’s a collection of accessories that it comes with, including an E Ink cover.

Specs wise, the phablet comes with 2 GB of RAM, 8/ 16 GB expandable storage, 13 MP camera, 2 MP front camera and a 3,400 mAh battery. Also, the One Touch Hero is running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Unfortunately, no word on release date and pricing of both devices in Malaysia. Stay tuned for more upcoming news.
