Nokia Lumia 525 debuts with 1 GB RAM

Nokia has finally took a wrap off to the Lumia 525, a new Nokia entry-level handset. The Lumia 525 is the successor of the Lumia 520.

Specs wise, the Lumia 525 has a 4" IPS LCD display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels at 235 ppi of pixel density, it is powered by 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 1 GB of RAM, which supports more apps than its predecessor (512 MB RAM).

The Lumia 525 has 8 gigs of internal storage with expandable storage up to 64 GB via microSD card. The handset has the same 5 MP camera without LED flash again, but it still capable for 720p video recording at 30fps.

The Lumia 525 is running on Windows Phone 8 with Lumia Black, which means you will get some software goodies similar to the bigger Lumia 1520. The handset has 1,430 mAh battery and Nokia claims that it can last for 14 days in stand-by time, 16.9 hours in 2G talk time and 10.6 hours in 3G talk time.

Overall the Lumia 525 has some changes from the Lumia 520 but many of us are happy to see 1 GB RAM on this entry-level device.

No word on launch date and pricing of the Lumia 525 in Malaysia but I'll keep update the news. Stay tuned.
