Asus PadFone mini goes official with dual-SIM capability

The rumors are over, Asus has made the PadFone mini official. Just as its bigger brother, the PadFone mini is a combination of smartphone and tablet.



The Asus PadFone mini is a 4.3" mid-ranger, it has a smaller display with qHD resolution (256 ppi) and Super IPS unit. It is powered by 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 chipset with 1 GB of RAM.


It has an 8 MP camera at the back and a 2 MP shooter at the front. The device has 16 GB internal storage with microSD card slot. It is measured at 129.3 x 65.6 x 8.68 mm and weighs 105 g. The Padfone mini is powered by a small 1,500 mAh battery.

The tablet dock for the PadFone mini has a 7" Super IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution at 216 ppi. The tablet has additional 2,200 mAh battery. It is measured at 199.8 x 119.45 x 11.8-17.7 mm and weighs 310 g (total 415 g include smartphone and tablet dock).



The Asus PadFone mini will be available in black, white and cherry. No news on when will the device enter Malaysian market, expect priced at RM 1,199.
