[MWC 2014] HTC unveils Desire 816 and Desire 610

HTC has added two new devices to its Desire lineup - Desire 816 and the Desire 610. Both devices pack mid-range specs but with different screen size.

HTC Desire 816

The HTC Desire 816 is the first phablet in the Desire lineup, it has a 5.5" display with 720p resolution. The Desire 816 is powered by 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 305 GPU and 1.5 GB of RAM. The device has 8 GB internal storage but luckily it is expandable via microSD card.

The HTC Desire 816 is the first HTC device with 13 MP camera and 5 MP front facer. The device features HTC BoomSound and it will be running on Android 4.4 with latest Sense UI out of the box.

Juicing up the device is a 2,600 mAh battery and it is available in black, white, orange, mild green, dark blue and grey colour options.

HTC Desire 610

The Desire 610 is almost same as the Desire 816, however it does come with smaller 4.7" display with lower qHD resolution. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 400 processor with quad-core CPU running at 1.2 GHz. The device has 1 GB of RAM for multitasking and 8 GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

The Desire 610 has 8 MP camera with LED flash, and there's a 1.3 MP front-facing shooter too. Surprisingly, the Desire 610 supports 4G LTE connectivity.

HTC Desire 610 will ship with Android Jelly Bean out of the box and powering everything is a 2,040 mAh battery.

The HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610 are nice Android devices, both devices feature HTC BoomSound and have iPod Touch-like design.
