The Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 was announced last month, and it is now available in Malaysia with retail price of RM 1,699.
The second generation Galaxy Camera has brought some upgrade includes new design, faster processor, more RAM and storage, newer Android version and an additional NFC connectivity.
The Galaxy Camera 2 has a faster quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.6 GHz and it has 2 GB RAM alongside with 8 GB internal storage. However according to Samsung, there are only 2.8 GB user available out of 8 GB total storage. User can still expand it via microSD card up to 64 GB.
The Galaxy Camera 2 is still able to shoot 1080p@30fps, 720p@60fps and 512p@120fps videos. It has 16.3 MP camera with 1/2.3" BSI CMOS sensor and the lens is able to zoom up to 21 times optically. The Galaxy Camera 2 also has an OIS inside the wide angle 23 mm lens.
Just as its predecessor, the Galaxy Camera 2 has a 4.8" 720p display with Super LCD unit. The camera has additional NFC connectivity and it is running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz UX. Meanwhile the new Galaxy Camera does not support SIM card slot, which means it is the Wi-Fi only model.
