Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 and Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 now available in Malaysia

The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 and Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 finally hit our shores. Both devices are priced at RM 1,199 and RM 699 respectively.

The Galaxy Grand 2, which is the successor of Galaxy Grand, has a bigger display, higher screen resolution, faster processor and more.

The Galaxy Grand 2 has bigger 5.25" display with 720p HD resolution. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1.5 GB of RAM. While the chipset is unknown, there's a probability that it is powered by Snapdragon 200 chipset. Just as its predecessor, the Galaxy Grand 2 is also a dual-SIM capability handset.

The handset has 8 GB internal storage with expandable storage via microSD card up to 64 GB. At the back it has an 8 MP shooter and there's a 1.9 MP shooter at the front too. Its dimensions are 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm and weight 163 g with a 2,600 mAh battery. It has also the same leather back as the Galaxy Note 3. The device is running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean too and likely to be upgradable to Android 4.4.

The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 is a cheaper version of Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. The slate has a 7" WSVGA (1,024 x 600 pixel) display, 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM, 2 MP rear camera and there's no front-facing shooter on it.

The tablet is measured at 9.7 mm thin and weight 310 g. It is running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and although the Android version is a little bit outdated, but Samsung has offered Dropbox cloud storage and Polaris Office for the tablet.
