[Google I/O 2014] Android One is for low-cost smartphone

Google kicks off the Google I/O 2014 with the Android One smartphone program. The new smartphone program with unified feature allows manufacturers to create high quality low-cost smartphones.

The new Android One program guarantees that the phones that come out of it will run on the most recent Android release, as Google will push updates to those phones similar to the way it handles GPE devices.

The first smartphone comes with Android One is Micromax from India. The device features dual-SIM support, microSD card, 4.5" screen, FM Radio and low price.

This 4.5" screen device is just priced at under USD $100, which is even cheaper than the Moto E. However there's no word on the rest of its specifications.
