Big and very Big, Samsung Galaxy Mega is the phablet line up series of smartphone that very big enough for some user dislike a huge tablet. Then what we are going to see the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 inch, very big phone and it also can used as a phablet or tablet. What we are saw on this phone, Galaxy Mega 6.3 inch is coming with a 1280 X 720 resolution, Demolition is 167.6 x 88 x 8 mm (6.60 x 3.46 x 0.31 in) quite thin and nice looking. But there are little thing to worry about. Dual-core 1.7 GHz processor, 1.5 GB RAM, 8GB/16 GB storage and external storage of 64GB support, Plus battery of 3200mah juice. Specs are just looks not quite putting it on a Flagship, especially the 8MP camera at the back and 1.9 MP at front facing, 1080P support seems is a bonus, but you see, Samsung Galaxy S4 has 13 MP, 1080p supports too. If we are combile with a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Mega 6.3, S4 is a top dog. Mega 6.3 still have a distance to being flagship. But 6.3 inch is better than 8 inch, 7 inch tablet, if you needs a calling function tablet, works like a tablet, portable tablet. Forget about Galaxy Note 2 but you can actually choose 6.3 inch OR 5.8 inch Dual Sim Dual Standby version of Galaxy Mega.
Mega 5.8 inch are just another Mega Series of Samsung Galaxy line ups. The screen is 540X960 5.8 inch, 162.6 x 82.4 x 9 mm (6.40 x 3.24 x 0.35 in) quite a little thick, 1.4GHZ Dual Core processors, 8GB Storage, 64GB external storage support and also it is 1.5GB RAM. Same like 6.3 inch coming with 8MP camera at the back, 1.9MP at front facing camera, supports 1080p video recording, and any Galaxy S4 features both Mega 6.3 and 5.8 also supporting, expect Air view and eye scroll.
Dual Sim Dual standby remind us Galaxy Grand, but sadly Galaxy Grand is a early line ups of huge phone, and the specs are just lower than both Mega series. The software and the size of the phone are just totally different, Grand are just nothing better than Mega, but Grand with dual core processors and dual sim support, it is actually a budget phablet phone for some not expected go for flagship.
The price of Galaxy Mega 6.3 is Euro 540, Euro 350 for the Galaxy Mega 5.8. The price tag seems a little curiously because it is just a little too luxury for a tablet or a phone. But at Malaysia price will be another story, hope to see it soon at the middle of June, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Galaxy Mega 5.8.
