[Update] Motorola Moto G will launch in Malaysia on January 16th

[Update] We have received the invitation for attending the media launch of Motorola Moto G from Brightstar Malaysia.

After a long wait, it seems that Brightstar Malaysia is ready to bring the Motorola Moto G to Malaysian market.



Brightstar Malaysia has just sent out an invitation for the Moto G media event. Unfortunately, we didn't receive the invitation from Brightstar Malaysia. Back to November 2013, Motorola has announced the Moto G and we have posted that it will be available in Malaysia soon. Just as expected, the Moto G will be available in Malaysia by this month.


Although the Moto G has received Android 4.4 update in other country, but when the Moto G arrived Malaysian market it will be running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box, but don't worry as Android 4.4 update will be available shortly after launch.

The Moto G is a good mid-range device, it has a 4.5" HD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 5 MP camera and a 2,070 mAh battery. Motorola also provides different options of back panel for the Moto G.

The pricing of the Moto G is still unknown but it will stick close with $199 USD (around RM 650). Currently Lazada Malaysia and Storekini are now selling the Moto G for RM 688 (8 GB) and RM 788 (16 GB).
